Customer Requirement
A 2x600MW coal-fired power plant needed a fly ash storage and loading system capable of handling 2,000 tons/day of fly ash. Requirements: ceramic wear protection for abrasive ash, automatic truck loading, 100% dust-free operation, and integration with the plant DCS.
Engineering Solution
Manxing provided 3 x 3,000t welded steel silos with full ceramic lining (92% alumina) in all wear zones. The system includes: dense-phase pneumatic conveying from ESP hoppers, multi-zone fluidization, and two automatic truck loading stations with retractable spouts and integrated weighing. The dust collection system uses PTFE membrane bags for <10 mg/Nm³ emissions. The control system integrates with the plant DCS via Modbus TCP.
Project Results
The system has been operating since 2022 with >99% availability. The plant has achieved 100% fly ash utilization (sold to cement plants). Ceramic lining showing minimal wear after 3 years of operation.
