A 6,000 TPD cement production line required a large clinker storage silo between the cooler and cement mill. Requirements: 40,000t capacity, 200°C design temperature, reinforced concrete construction, automated extraction system, and 20+ year service life.

Manxing designed a 40m diameter reinforced concrete silo with refractory lining in the hot zone. The steel roof structure supports the feed conveyor. The discharge system uses a heavy-duty apron extractor (rated 400 tph, 200°C) feeding the cement mill. Thermal expansion analysis and expansion joint design were critical for the 40m diameter structure. The silo includes a water spray cooling system for temperature control.

The silo has been in operation since 2020, providing 7 days of clinker storage buffer for the cement mill. The refractory lining condition is excellent after 4 years. The plant has achieved 98% kiln utilization.
