Project Overview
Philippines 10,000t Cement Storage Expansion
Project Details
| Country | Philippines |
| Industry | Cement |
| Material | Cement |
| Capacity | 10,000 tons |
| Commissioning | Phased commissioning over 6 weeks. Each new silo was commissioned and brought online individually, with zero disruption to terminal operations. |
Customer Requirement
An existing cement terminal in Manila needed to double storage capacity to 10,000 tons to accommodate growing market demand. The expansion needed to integrate with existing ship unloading and truck loading systems without disrupting ongoing operations.
Engineering Solution
Manxing added 2 x 5,000t welded steel silos (Ø8m x H35m) alongside the existing 4 silos. The design included a new distribution system to connect all 6 silos to the ship unloader and loading stations. The expansion was executed while the terminal remained operational, with phased commissioning to minimize downtime.
Project Results
Terminal capacity doubled to 10,000 tons. Throughput increased from 150,000 to 300,000 tons/year. The expansion was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
